  It is a great honor and pleasure for us to invite youto participate in the 10th International Conference of the European Chitin Society (EUCHIS’11), which will be held in Saint-Petersburg, Russia between 20-24 May, 2011.
  This year is the significant date – 200th anniversary of the discovery of Chitin.
  Besides the scientific program, we offer you to open a symbolic door for the acquaintance with the City of St.Petersburg - a modern European capital and a global tourist center with rich historical traditions, to visit our Museums, Parks and Palaces, Churches, Theatres and Concert Halls.
  We hope that your stay in our city on the embankments of the Neva River will leave you the most pleasant memories.

The information for Participants of 10-th International Conference of the European Chitin Society

Location
10th International Conference of the European Chitin Society will be held in Saint- Petersburg
between  20 -24 May, 2011 in the Hotel " Azimut".

Registration payment:
 Members EUCHIS                           - $ 550 (till February, 25 2011г.) - $ 600 (after February, 25 2011г.)
Non Members EUCHIS                   - $ 600 (till February, 25 2011г.) - $ 650 (after February, 25 2011г.)
Students                                          - $ 250 (till February, 25 2011г)  - $ 300 (after February, 25 2011г.)
Accompanying  Person                   - $ 250 (till February, 25 2011г.) - $ 300 (after February, 25 2011г.)

Registration payment for Participants includes:
- The packet of participant of the Conference (materials of the Conference, the writing goods);
- The edition of materials of the Conference (book +CD);
- Transportation  (arrival  and  departure - the Airport, railway station);
- Welcome party;
- Coffee and dinner during   the Conference;

Registration payment for accompanying Persons includes:
- Welcome party;

- Cultural program

Accommodation in the Hotel "Azimut"
It is better to make accommodation order in the Hotel "Azimut"  through  Secretary of the Conference.
The cost of the rooms for the Participants will be lower (according to the special contract).

Cost of the rooms according to the Contract (for the night):
- Comfort single      - $ 70-80   (depends on of the course of the rubles);
- Comfort double     - $ 80-90;
- Business single     - $100-110;
- Business double    - $115-120
The cost of the room includes the breakfast and tax.
There is a Internet  connection  and  TV  in every room.

The Participants of the Conference will  pay for the rooms  after  arrival in Hotel with credit card   (except  the American Express and Traveler’s cheques) or in cash.

Check-in time at the Hotel – 14.00, check-out time – 12.00.

Information about all changes of dates concerning the arrival and departure of participants should be provided  to Secretary of the Conference in advance. Reception of the visa

The form with necessary dates for the invitation letter for reception of the visa will be in the item of Menu  “Visa”of our site http://ecs-11.chitin.ru/.
The invitation letter (vaucher)   will be made gratis for the  period of realization  the Conference by Administration of the Hotel.
It  is necessary to send  completely  filled  form  to Secretary of  the Conference.

Transportation
For all  Participants transportation  will be organized from  the Airport  and railway station of  Saint Petersburg by the Representative of Secretary with a placard of the Conference (EUCHIS 2011).
The participants have to inform in advance the Secretary the data of the arrival to Saint Petersburg (date and the arrival time, flight number, train  number, carriage number).

Materials of the Conference
Subjects of the Conference
Production Chitin, Chitosan and its derivatives;
Chitin/Chitosan, characterization and analysis;
Medical, Pharmaceutical, Veterinary aspects;
Biotechnology, enzymes and technology;
Agrobiology  aspects.

Manuscripts of  the presentations  will be published  as a book titled  ‘Advances  in Chitin  Science.    Vol. XII”. All information concerning presentation of materials   will be located on the site of the Conference http://ecs-11.chitin.ru/.

Cultural program
For the Participants of the Conference  and accompanying persons will be offered the tour  to Peterhof   (The Northem Versailles).
The participants will be taken  from the Hotel to the quay of  the  river  Neva by bus.
Then they will go  by  a steam-ship  on the river and  the gulf of Finland (with the guide and  a glassof champagne)  up  to Petergof.  In Petergof will be the excursion (the park  and Fountains).
After the excursion the participants will be  transportated  to Saint-Petersburg.
There  will be a supper on the ship
In Saint-Petersburg the participants from the quay will return to the Hotel by bus.   
The duration of  this  tour will be  6  to 7 hours.
The  cost  -  $ 145.

The participation in the tour  and  the payment have to be confirmed  in the registration form.
